I’m joining forces with fellow Bush Poet Neil McArthur for a 2-3 week tour of south west WA in April 2016.
First port of call is the Fairbridge Folk Festival where we will be appearing as the ‘Inglourios Bardsters’ at the poets breakfasts each morning, as well as a poetry workshop and a feature appearance with iconic WA folk band ‘Loaded Dog’.

Then we’re off down to Albany for a few gigs with Marco Gliori before we all head back up to Bunbury to catch up with an old mate of mine named Neil Howard. Neil owns a winery just east of Bunbury called ‘Whicher Ridge Winery’. Last year he held the inaugural ‘South West Bush Poetry Festival’ which was a series of shows, school workshops and fundraising events throughout the region. Bush Poetry legends Murray Hartin and Marco Gliori from the Naked Poets fame insured that the first festival got off to a ripper start, and this year, once again with the help of Marco, we are going to make sure this festival cements its place on the Australian Bush Poetry calendar.
We can’t wait to get over there and inflict a bit of Vic humor and wit on those WAlians. I just made that word up!!
